Therapy
VitalStim® Therapy is provided to patients having difficulty swallowing (dysphagia). It is an effective and safe method of treatment that makes use of non-invasive Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES). The electrical stimulation assists in muscle strengthening to improve swallowing and reduce the risk of aspiration. VitalStim® Therapy works in conjunction with swallowing exercises completed during therapy sessions.
